3rd Ward Show

Here's a pic of my carbon/eva flextail finless simmons Gianni took at the 3rd ward show in May.  This was a collaboration with Spoe from Biarritz.  He dropped by the shop and we started shaping it together.  It basically doesn't work unless you squat over the last foot of the board, but a great lesson in the necessity of release in the tail. If I can plow through some other projects I'll grind off some of the tail so its more ridable.

Empire Alaia #4, redux #2

The beauty of shaping wood is you can shape it, ride it, reshape it and see what's different. Can't wait to see how it goes with a narrow tail. After the fishfry Im convinced that widepoint forward is the way to go with finless boards.

Consolation prize

Patagonia couldn't send me a new wetsuit-i guess pit rash wasn't under warranty-but they did send me a beer cozie made out of an R2 suit. Consolation prize I guess.
